I couldn't find part numbers in the S4 or S5 parts fiche, but they should be interchangeable.

Visually verify. There are basically two different A/C systems on FC's. IF the compressors look the same, they are interchangable. If they don't, you can swap the compressor and the hoses and make it work.

Also...there are 2 different compressor brackets.
Your Sanden will not bolt up to a ND compressor bracket and vice versa.
They're about 4mm difference.

The cast aluminum bracket that holds the A/C pump and P/S pump, as well as the two idler pulleys. It's attached to the side of the block.

Got it. Went and took a look. So now to either find a Sanden Bracket or a Denso with hoses.

So is there a difference between S4 and S5 sanden brackets? I have an S4 sanden bracket and an S4 Sanden compressor. The car is S5 and originally had an S5 Sanden, but the engine is S5 and came with the S5 Denso. Can I simply get S4 Sanden hoses and be good?

The brackets are not series specific.
If you have the hoses with the compressor then you're ok. S5 comp. has 2 bolt and S4 has 1 bolt so if you change series, you need the 2 hoses with it.
The thread pitch and size on the high side is different between Sanden and Denso all the way around. It's fuuckin stupid how Mazda used so many variations on different series.
I think the low side is the same thread. Since its right on top at the firewall, try swapping it first before tearing it up.
