S4 & S5 AFM swap ??

Anyone know if a S4 & S5 AFM are interchangable? Just trying to get rid of the huge *** restrictive metal can on my intake without going to a stand alone.
Thanks,
Jason

s5 afm is more restrictive, they made it because it was cheaper to build not because it has anything to do with performance.

This is a waste of time as the S5 AFM is just as restrictive as the S4 one, plus it's highly likely that it will have unknown effects on you're mixtures. Don't bother.

I appreciate the input. I guess the only way is get a stand alone then. I'll just keep the Titanic on the car in case I decide to go deep water fording. Just hope I don't run into any icebergs.
Hey GTIguy, did you get your ride up and running?

This image shows how to disable the fuel pump cut-off switch? this is exactly what I need! To do this do I soldier the 2 very left terminals together? Please let me know thanks.

Just for the record... When the AFM is faulty it DOES cause improper air/fuel ratios, and will also shut down the car if its not grounded correctly.

Thanks Silverrotor. Now that that nonsense is out of my mind. I can think of more important things like relocating the battery and getting one of those highly praised and talked about S6 Alt with the dual pulleys
