s4 or s5?

new to the forums but i see a lot of "s4 and s5" flying around, how can i tell if i have an s4 or an s5? my car is an 89 gtu/gxl (don't know how to tell that either) 13b engine non-turbo. Very baffled by the classifications on this car, but i love my rx, only had it for 2 weeks and my wife is already sick of it

86-88 = s4
89-91 = s5

You have an S5

They are the same car. They have some key differences, such as different intake manifolds, and the S5s have the more desirable tail lights. It's a common thing to swap the S5 tails into a S4. S5s also have the rubberized radio surround that is more durable than the plastic one found in S4s.

They both came with 13b, n/a and turbo.

Theres a lot more info in the FAQs.

There is very little on an S4 that I'd rather have than an S5. I've had both cars though. The seatbelts are about the only thing I can think of. The S4 taillights are about as ugly and dated looking as they come.
