Question s4 to s4 turbo swap

ok to start ive done alot of searching on this

heres what i want to do

take an s5 turbo block and put all the s4 parts on it so i dont have to go crazy on a rewire of the harness

i want to use the s5 for its lighter rotors
what other parts should i use from the s5

I hope you realise that a lot of work for very little gain. It's the sort of swap you only do if you have to, like you blew your engine and have an S5 block to swap in. If you have a healthy engine now I'd spend your time and money on some more productive mods than this.

Look for an S5 turbo. That's about the only external worth swapping onto an S4.

what kind of power do the j-spec 13b's put out? any diff. than us-spec?

My next engine build will be my 88 TII and I was told by Brian from rotorsportsracing that what we are going to do is swap out the s4 rear housing for and s5 (tII) and that's it. Something about a flaw in the s4 rear housing in conjunction with the dowel pins. Not sure if this is needed in all engine rebuilds but based on my wants and goals for my 88TII this was the best way to approach it. Other than that we are going to utilize the entire s4 block without swapping out an other parts as it is not needed. Hope this helps.
