Alright, so for the past month my car's been making a tapping and or popping noise when i slow down or make left turns, and last night i decided to look into the problem in class. So i raise the car up check my ball joints and anti sway bar bushing brackets thinking they were loose and hitting the tie rod ends, but that wasnt the case.

Next I rotate the wheels to the right, i hear nothing. then i turn them to the left and with the hood up i can hear this clicking noise from wat sounded like the power steering pump, then i wiped off any residual fluid and did it again a confirmed a fresh spurt of fluid from the pump.

Usually i get parts i need from mazdatrix, but this is one of those parts they dont have, so i'm not sure where else i could get a spare pump, other than a junk yard, which is rare. so idk i just need a lil advice....

 

Try the for sale section of this forum. Lots of people ditch that stupid system entirely.
