S4 na trailing switch problem

Hi all!
By checking the spark only T2 firing at idle and by revving too.
Leading ok.
If I pull the CAS out and rotate by hand seems spark on both line in same time.
Any suggestions please.
New battery.
I've checked more time the components...

I see English is a second language for you. I apologize to say I am having some trouble understanding the problem as the English is a bit mixed up.

Leading coil firing when at idle and with your foot on the gas pedal
Trailing coil only firing when turning the CAS by hand.
Is this correct?

Firing order for a two rotor.

Hi!
Leading firing ok.
T2 firing properly by running engine.
On T1 no spark at all by running engine.

Ok, I will give you a bump. This is an unusual problem as far as I know.

I think you are mistaking leading and trailing, leading coil is waste spark and fires both rotor 1 and 2 at the same time. This is to help reduce emissions, however it can confuse people when checking timing.

Technically each combustion cycle sees 3 sparks, leading>trailing>just before the next cycle begins again leading fires again as the exhaust port is exposed while the other rotor is on it's compression firing sequence. This likely does almost nothing for emissions but it is a simplified system and it still works fine for stock and even modified cars.

There's some strange article on the interwebs trying to explain the leading spark as some "select spark", the oscilloscope patterns being polar opposite is because it's charging the coil backwards, as waste spark does. The article is incorrect in explaining that there is only 1 firing event for leading per rotation though. Waste spark means one coil is firing from the electrode to the armature and the other is firing from the armature to the electrode, if that helps explain it at all.

Thank you for the explanation, this is very useful.

To the OP, life has a way of giving you what you need sometimes in the weirdest ways.

I am having idle issues. I am finally tackling it today. And wouldn't you know it, I had the same issues as you. It never did it before and it did today. The engine was running on the leading #1 plug only, verified with a timing light. I tested the wires and verified spark on all four out of the engine????

I found this:

@ReTed stated that if you partially remove the spark plug wires from the coil it will cause the coil to arc. I did just that and all positions are firing now. Verified with a timing light.

This certainly is a weird one. Let us know how you make out with this.

I did "Hailers"-s protokoll to check 1U/1X pinouts on ECU.
Seems ok.
And swapped the signal wires on the coil.
After this only T2 fired.
Probably igniter fault causes misfiring.
Has anybody installed FD igniter?
I have read somewhere...
Banzai racing also provide some tutorial for this...
