S4 NA pin 2C? Ground or not?

Good day!

I had another thread going regarding my car not revving properly. I feel this is a seperate issue, so I made a new thread for searching purposes.

In the FSM, pin 2C is listed a ground for a bunch of sensors. However, the wiring diagrams don't show it going to ground anywhere. My car (87 GXL) doesn't have continuity to ground from this pin.

It is a Br/B wire.

The reason I am interested in this is because my car is running very lean. I suspect something wrong with the pressure sensor (the sensor beside the variable resistor with a vacuum line).

Any help is appreciated.

Just to clarify, this is the wire that everybody grounds to the chassis to cure the 3800 rpm hesitation.

I have not found any info telling me that it IS a ground (from the wiring diagrams).

Thanks,

Rob R.

^ He has an NA and that diagram does not show how 2C ties into 3A.

Where did you find that??? I think that is for a turbo. That is page 50-25 right? That is Turbo stuff.

I was looking at 50-31 and it doesn't show it going to ground.

Weird!

Thanks!!!!

I will go ahead and ground it and let you know if it cures my issue.

Thanks,

Sorry bout that. Yup that's the turbo one. Tried blowing it up but guess it doesn't matter if it's the wrong page.
Carry on.

Okay, here is what happened.

I had no continuity between 2C and ground. I added a ground to the Br/B wire near the pressure sensor. I then had continuity. Yay!

I drove the car to verify that the ground cured my issue.... It did!

My AFR's are now high 12's low 13's at WOT.

Thanks for all the help!
