s4 hks intercooler ??'s.

just a few questions.

1. i was just wondering, has anyone changed out their intercooler core for a larger core? it doesnt look like the core is too small, but i just had that as a thought. i dont want to be driving around with a front mount the size of evo's, and skylines, but i just wanted to know if there was anyone who has swapped out to a larger core that actually gained performance.

2. with the way the intake manifold portion of the hks intercooler is, and the piping going over the block instead of down the opposite side of the motor..... what strut tower brace are you using.

here is a pic for reference, just incase those that dont have this model intercooler doesnt know what it looks like.

That does not look like HKS piping. The HKS piping is not built using the cut and weld method of bending.

The intercooler piping doesn't run the other side of the engine bay because HKS didn't want to force people to move the battery and eliminate AC and power steering.

yeah, but i would.... the stock ones kept letting my charge pipes blow off, so home depot has been holdin' me down for 4 years straight.

i think it is obvious that the piping is custom, the stock units were mandrel bend, and black. very heavy tho'. with the height clearance over the routing of the piping, what strut tower brace have you guys seen that works with this?

but beside that fact, the intercooler can be seen below.
