you don't think the newer design ( 10 blade) would be the better one? If not, why change it? The 8 blade looks like it has more pitch...which would push more air wouldn't it???

I don't think the thermoclutches are equally swappable between series.
The nub on the end of the waterpump pulley is different (IIRC, the S4 thermoclutch will NOT fit the S5 waterpump, but the S5 fan clutch will fit both series...or something like that).

I put an S5 thermoclutch and fan on an S4. Cannot verify if it works the other way,ie. S4 onto an S5.

My S4 clutch became weak and did not cool well enough after I rejuvenated the AirConditioning. The S5 clutch and fan solved the cooling issue.

The S5 fan was noticeably quieter.

when i put the S5 fan and clutch on, it felt loose...started it and it felt out of balance.... im just talking about putting the fan of the S5 on a S4 fan clutch

Sounds like you got something wrong, but I can't tell what. The S5 fan on the S5 clutch will be inherently balance. Unless you got something wrong. Look it over carefully and reassess.

Good Luck!

Well turns out the S5 fan has a bent blade... i tried the S5 fan clutch with the S4 fan....and No go.. fan hits on lower pully

That makes sense.

Try to find one on the For Sale portion of the board.

This... The nub is different and the clutch uses that nub for centering.
