s4 engine reliability

yes i've searched this but only came up with 3rd gen threads. So i was wondering what is the reliability of an s4 T2 motor with good compression (105-108psi) with currently 128,000km original kms. i need to plan for the long run. thanks

I don't the word reliability and rotary go together. What mods are you running? It just depends on how well you take care of it and what kinds of mods you have. The best thing you can do to a rotary, even with few to zero mods, is standalone ecu. Costs alot, but reliability is about the long run isn't it?

well yeah any engine that is used after compression testing it theres no 100% way to know how long it will last.

if i had a motor with those miles and those compression numbers i would think it would last a while!! probably last at least 50K(miles) longer

but you can never know for 100%......
