ok well im just about done with my swap and i have some last minute questions about the tranny.

I was under the car and hookd up the starter and i went to connect the other connects to the tranny...

Well anyway, i mean, 2 of the wires dont reach all the way to the back of the tranny, thats no big deal, i can add wires to that. (Ones a black wire and the other is a red wire) ...ground n power i guess, i dunno for what though

My main question is, there are 2 clips that plug into eachother, I got one of the plugs connected, but the other one i cant get it to plug in bcuz they both are the same style connector (female connecter i believe) I guess they are the 5th and reverse clips.

what would happen if one or the other of the 5th or reverse clips werent plugged in?

5th - won't enter closed loop (I think)
reverse - no reverse lights

ok well i can live without reverse lights, but whats the closed loop on 5th?

Also, is there anyway someone could tel me which one is the clip for 5th so i can try n connect it?

 

closed loop gives you a few extra mpg on highway driving, thats about it.
