s4 alternator wiring

I just did a tII swap and I'm missing the alternator connectors. I've searched and got very good info on wire identification etc. now my question, where do I connect the R and L wire from the back of the alternator? Thanks

This pic is used alot on here for members wanting to swap in larger alts. into their fc's but will also give you an idea of where the connections go.

That's because you swapped in the TII Emissions harness. Leaving the NA Emissions harness where it was and performing a couple of simple wiring changes at the ECU connectors would've saved you this hassle.

Don't use the diagram above. Go to page 50-18 in the FSM wiring diagrams and connect it up the way it should be. You can see the two wires from the 2-pin plug (B/W and W/B) go back to connector FEM-01, which is the 8x2 connector joining the Front and Emissions harnesses shown on the next page.

+1 to the above. I totally overlooked the TII swap part. Follow the FSM as stated above and you should be good.

Ok, here's the real situation. The car is an S4 NA with an S5 TII engine. I used the S4 TII engine harness. I'm using the S4 alternator. I started the car without the 2 plugs and it seems like its rev limiting at 3500rpm. When I connect those plugs, will the "rev limit at 3500rpms" go away? thanks. I'll look into the FSM wiring. Thanks

I have issues with that picture. The R terminal doesn't go directly to the ignition switch, the L terminal doesn't go to the "dash" harness, and the S terminal shouldn't be wired directly to the battery.

Have a look at these schematics.

If you're using an S4 alternator in an S4 chassis then it'll work fine.

No, because the alternator has nothing to do with how the engine runs. You probably have a loose, dirty or disconnected secondary injector connector.
