s4 airpump into s5 car (smog)

Will a airpump from a 1987 n/a fit on a s5 TII engine.

What about a s4 airpump onto a s4 TII.

The reason I'm asking is because I need to pass smog. Is there any chance a 7 will pass smog w/o an airpump.

Also is there any tricks you can do to pass smog better. Like getting new plugs, or running the car a lot before the test.

Thanks.
Tim.

turbo air pumps will interchange between series, and nonturbo air pumps will interchange between series, but not between t2 and NA.

there are some tricks involving alchohol and such, but I'd be too scared to use them.
