I live in fairfax and ive got the racing beat turboback and thers no way ill pass wat do i do va is real strict i live in fairfax city, my moms pissed enough that were taking it to the rotary shop and she doesn't know that the exhaust is whats making it not pass emissions but its going to the shop for a LIM gasket its a turbo model if u didnt know my moms going to strangle me if i dont pass what to do!!!!!!!i might have to end up getting rid of it

 

What do you do? Type that over again so that its readable, and then we'll think about helping you.

Tjeter, you gotta help yourself a little too, the more clearly and detailed you present a problem/question, the better answers you will get. On top of that, a little research goes a long way, do a search right now and research your *** off. Good luck sorting out the problem, and keepin' mom happy...I'm off to bed.

ok im sorry ill start again with one hand
1. real bad intake gasket leak in the LIM
2. can't get turbo off taking it to rotary performance in manasses
3. my emissions tag expired like 7 days ago
4.i have a racing beat turboback and i don't think i'll pass emissions in virginia
5. my mom is paing to have the work done and will be mad if i have to buy more stuff and might possibly make me sell
6.in cast no broken limb just can't use mt left hand

Tjeter, much better in explaining your problem. Good luck in your quest to get your 7 to pass emission. Virginia is the the absolute worst state I have ever experienced for emissions/safety inspections and worst of all TAXES.

A couple of bottles of alcohol in the gas tank should help. How is everybody failing so bad? I passed easily running pig rich.

Tjeter, The alcohal thing is ok. Just remember to have your car good and hot when you go in. Drive for 30 minutes hard before you take it to the smog shop. You need to search the California smog threads to find more hints. You RB Catback should be doing its job. It's still a Cat Do you have your smog pump still attached? Is the split air pipe still hook up?? If your intake leak gets fixed it should be running ok.

 

you NEED a cat on it to pass the emissions both visual and sniffer. if you don't have the stock exhaust then your only option is to see if you can borrow a stock system or a bolt in main cat for your system and plumb it up to the split air pipe.

The racing beat turbo back is on your car right? If so just go look under your car to see if there is a cat.

Legal in California only for racing vehicles which may never be used upon a highway.

Means if you live in California, you can legally only have it on a track vehicle. So you are fine, doesnt affect you
