S.O.S help!

It all started with the radio, I was on broad st going at 25 mph when the radio started playing then not playing then just died. i looket at my battery it read 8 and all the interior lights looked dime. After a little while my car seemed to lose power and kept jolting back and forwards. Then it turned off, it seemed not to have any battery power. A freind gave me a jump and it started fine but then died after I put it in first and the it lost its charge. I’ am not shur if it’s the alternator or the batter what should I do? please help this is my dayle car and i use it to go to school

Once the car is started, you actually don't need a battery: the alternator will charge the battery and take care of all the electrical components of your car. So your alt is dead.

Your friend charged your battery, so your car used all the batterie's energy and died again.

If you want to upgrade the sound system or anything that will such up some electrical juce, you should profit of that occasion to buy an FD alternator.

Did the POWER jolt back and forth, or the car? If it was the lights going on and off, it sounds like a bad ground somewhere important.

Otherwise, maybe the Alt like the other guy said?
