S-AFC (worth it for the new jspec version?)

I've got an 91 N/A vert and I was thinking about getting an S-AFC to correct the running rich problem i will most likely have once i get my intake and exaust (apexi intake, mazdatrix true duals exaust).

My question is, is it worth it to go pay a little more and get the new jspec version 2 i think they are calling it one... the one with the curved screen and the **** (has 12 levels to set the a/f mixtures as well as a few other settings).

Or should i just stick with a regular one and get it for cheaper.

Or, what do people think about the greddy e-manage system... that would also be able to control my timing... but of course would cost a good 150 more at least, as well as a much more complicated setup.

Any thoughts on the matter would definately be apreciated... and also, if anyone has a similar mod setup, how rich were you running (and if you corrected it, how much more hp did you see)?

Also, anyone play around with that Rev/Speed meter that apexi has, with the g-sensor and stuff... it looks cool and all, but it is really worth anything?

I got my AFC-2 for 350 shipped brand new, not sure how much the first one goes for. Sure it has a couple new features but as far as actual tuning the 1st gen afc should work just fine. Not as many rpm points but it extropolates for in between settings anyway. For a turbo maybe it is worth more since you can monitor the knock sensor signal (not sure how accurate). Anyway, depending on what kind of deal you get either will cure the rich condition just fine.

I really do not think it is a Jspec SAFC. Just the new version.

Hum ..... sidebar.....

If my boxer shorts are made in Japan.... Does that make then JSpec ?

it's alot more tunable. i guess you can fine tune it more, it goes in 200 increments instead of 500

Got it before it was released in US so it was a J-Spec for a while. He was cool, came with japanese instructions but he shipped me a translation as soon as he got it in. And yeah the little joystick can be a bit annoying, if they didn't make it a button also it would be a lot better. But the dial is nice.

besides the extra few bands of adjustment, are there any other features that would make it worth getting over the other one?
