Question rx8 eccentric shaft

One of the guys has a post of his buildup and he mentions that hes using an rx8 E-shaft, saying its a 1lb lighter and whatnot.

I searched around, and found almost no info on this on the forums.

Would this be a direct swap? what sorts of advantages are you looking at? Would it be compatible with both turbo, and NA?

Just thought it was a little interesting, and i wanna know more about it

It's lighter, got extra clearances on the outer ends of the main bearing journals(same as the FD's shaft) and most important it's cheaper.
