Clutch sticking to floor!

Ok, as I was driving home today, my clutch was sticking to the floor, and I had no type of back pressure. Now as I look into the the manual for Rx7's it says if the clutch pedal stays on the floor, 1 the fork shaft is binding in housing, or 2 Broken release bearing or fork? Then today when someone was helping me push it into a parking lot, they said they had owned a 7 before and that whenever this happened, it was teh CMC (Clutch master cylinder), Now my friend had this same problem with is 86 Turbo 300zx, is it a possibility that its the same problem in this case. Because reading the manual it says I have to take the transmission off, and it would seem to be a lot of work, though I wouldn't mind doing it. But please tell me its less work then I really have to deal with..... thank you.

you need to check the Clutch hydraulics for leaks.Starting at the clutch master and working your way along the Flex line to the Slave cylinder. You will need to put Fluid back into the Master and Rebleed the Clutch.IF it is leaking,You will know it Then. You can't tell if the clutch is leaking With NO fluid in it to show you where.Check the Shaft that goes to the slave cylinder and check for Wetness around there. Also You should be able to check the clutch Fork, but you will most likelu have to Have some room to do it.(Jack car up)..Doing this requires HELP..so Enlist/Volunteer a Buddy..(six packs are great,huh?)..Good luck!

mine did this once. turned out to be a leak in the cylinder and a tiny leak in the rubber line. $70 and a couple hours of installation later it was fixed.

Well when I replaced my clutch a couple of weeks ago, the guy said that the clutch hydraulics were bypassing. So meaning that when the car is at a complete stop, that the CMC was letting pressure back, until the clutch fully engages, could that be the reason maybe?

That is the exact problem I was having with mine last spring. Turns out I had a bit of a leak in the master. Master cyls are fairly cheap and easy to replace.

i just did this. its inexpensive. the slave cyl cost me about 30.00, the flex line was 25.00. and i inspected my CMC for any leaks.. it seemed good, i actually had a leak in my flex line.. it was TOASTED up the ****! anyways, what I did.. i simply pulled the CMC out and cleaned it out.. it has some nasty gunk inside so i grabbed a soft brush and scrubbed a little and and used a cleaner solution and that was that for the CMC.

I just had the same problem so I redid the whole hydralics system for about $50. I just bought a new hose from mazdatrix for $18, a master cylinder rebuild kit, and slave cylinder rebuild kit from autozone for about $25. I also bought a one man bleeder kit for $7. It did the job.

i had that problem too and i took into a shop. they told me about the sc and cmc and told me that it had a cracc in it. they fixed all that for like $200 USD. now my clutch feels funny whenever i release it and it makes a funny noise, but i figured it was because it had all new parts down there.

New hydraulics should make the clutch feel better and perform silently...assuming that they were the problem to begin with.
"Funny" noises/feel mean that something else is wrong.

Have you checked the fluid level yet? My car is doing the same thing right now, the master has a leak, and when it all leaks out, the pedal wants to stay on the floor and the clutch doesn't disengage.
