Rx7store stainless manifold?

Hey guys I wanted to get an HKS cast manifold for my turbo upgrade but I cant seem to find one for a 2nd gen anymore. Does anyone have any exprerience with the stainless steel manifold that the rx7 store sells? It looks to be a replica of the HKS unit?
Heres a link:

Thanks, Ed

I don't trust it either. I can't believe they are even selling that crap, unless they are willing to offer a warranty.

I just bought a stainless of ebay for 110 shipped and it is tested and proven to work well. If you wanna spend more thats up to you but anything is better than the cast iron **** it comes stock with.

It really says a lot about that place. I'm amazed they have lasted this long.

anyone dyno with one of these or anyone have a dyno chart showing the gain of any aftermarket turbo manifold? I'm just wondering what kind of advantages this type or manifold would give.

edit: Are these the same as the ss autochrome? I was thinking about getting one and cutting it up to make a cutom manifold to fit the turbo on with a na intake manifold.

T04Tii and I dynoed his SSA manifold against one we made, however we also changed the down-pipe size at the same time so its not exactly apples to apples. It was near 30 ft of torque across the positive pressure ares. Quite substantial...

I am windering if you all who are saying it's the same actually seen both of them in front of you?

One of my friends bought one and he has also seen an SSAC manifold as well and the flanges are thicker and are of much better quality, not the same piece of crap ssac has.

Just was searching and i thought i'd bring this up.

apparently the first bunch of manifolds they made were total crap - bad welds, uneven flanges, thin flanges. but supposedly they fixed those problems and I have heard a lot of people having success with them. BUT, you get what you pay for. www.turblown.net has their turbo mani for around $800 i believe, check out the site and you will agree it would probably be worth it. Or you can get an re-amemiya stock replacement SS tubular turbo manifold for about the same from www.rhdjapan.com

BUT if you dont have a ton of money and want something that will for sure not break on you, go for the HKS or I believe i have seen some other japanese tuning brands manifolds show up on rhd japan for closer to $400, but thats pretty much all cast log manifolds.

I'm sure turblown could put on any type of turbine housing flange, they make their manifolds to order - in case you wanted to get a super expensive and awesome manifold for your stock turbo so you can use an aftermarket wastegate with a hybrid turbo. But the whole reason to retain the stock turbine housing is really just so you DONT have to get a new mani bc good ones are expensive.....
