Exclamation Rx7 tech in sanford told me i could of blow something in the motor.. opinions needed

i blew out my front muffler. i ran it for a week like that because i had to get to work, (very loud i might say) i just re-did the exhaust today and the rex bog and i takes forever to get to 4k rpm then it starts going like normal. all vacuums are fine. What are the signs your motor is going? after 4k rpm if i hit it i boost at 10psi and I get my power back. Thanks for you input guys.

Sounds like a seal is going/gone.

Especially with a chipped or cracked apex seal low RPM suffers greatly. Once the engine gets into the upper RPMS and boost the combustion cycle is happening rapidly enough that not as much mixture or flame spread is lost to the adjacent chamber. Typcial symptom for an apex seal assembly that is still seated but has a big chip in it. Exact thing happend to a friend of mine earlier this fall.

i just drove it again and the motor power seens to throw be back in my seat when turbo kicks in. just starting off in 1-4k rpm it bogs horribly. it idles at 900 rpm, no smoke. i don't know if it is the engine, but now i don't know what it could be.

You could have chipped a seal and still not smoke. It can still hold a good idle, but when you free rev it and is misfire/ sounds like 1 rotor it's blown. Don't do anymore hard pulls, you'll ruin the motor more then you do good.

Do a compression test, or even poor mans comression test.
