RX7 FC cooling issue need some advice

Ok, so as is obviously stated in the title i have a cooling issue...

my car doesnt necessarily overheat into the the red marks or start steaming or anything like that, but it does start to run way above normal operating temperature and often times will get very close to the red area on the gauge. I have tried several things to fix the problem, i put in a new OEM thermostat and got a new all metal replacement radiator, I made sure the belly plate was in good condition and i checked to be sure the fan is good, so far everything has checked out and my cooling system pressurizes so i dont think its the water pump. Im wondering if maybe this is being caused by only having one belt on the water pump....i read something about this in the FAQ before posting this issue. I also want to be sure that my coolant seals arent toast...but i dont think they are. I have flushed the entire system and put in all fresh coolant and cleaned the radiator fins and the AC condensor to be sure air is passing through properly but still the car pegs very hot during the day. I live in Texas so it does get extremely hot during the day right now, and i have noticed that the problem is not as bad at night when the sun isnt out...im looking for advice ideas, possible upgrades to my cooling system anything you guys out there can come up with..

I would really appreciate the help because so far with this problem im getting

Well, I assume that its overheating when you are driving it normally. This generally means there is a problem with the rad, t-stat, water pump, or belt. We can rule out the rad since its new. What kind of t-stat did you use? I have heard of many people having problems with stant ones, so only use OEM ones. The one belt is only a problem if you don't have the air pump. Do you have yours? It doesn't sound like its a coolant seal problem because its not boiling over, which happens with had coolant seals.
My gut instict would be to say the t-stat is acting up. Try replacing it with an OEM unit. They are cheap and can be had at any dealership.
Also, heres a great run-down of cooling problems: http://aaroncake.net/RX-7/cooling.htm

Now it looks pretty obvious, doesn't it Cap'n?

God Bless Texas! If you have a cooling problem, She will help you find it everytime!

Actually if you ordered one from MazdaTrix you probably have a stant thermostat, the reason I say this is because last time I went in to purchase one they gave me some bullshit about it being better than the OEM. Something about the OEM one has problems with the big rubber seal integrated into it....so yeah He said that they are carrying stant now...meh...

It's obvious Cap'n, you only have one of the two belts driving the water pump!
Replace the air pump or get a dual pully for the alt. This should solve your problem.

BTW, there is a reason this is in the FAQ.

Also, I would check the Mazdatrix t-stat for the slant label. If you find slant, then get an oem from Mazda Dealer.

BTW, there is a reason this is in the FAQ as well.

Good luck
