rx7 clutch???

so heres whats goin on... i think my clutch my have gone out in my car but im not possitive. so coule people help me out?? it wont start, when u turn the key all u hear is the starter wine and spin. before i shut the car off tho, it still ran fine but the clutch had no affect on anything. it would still go in all 5 gears and reverse, but it wouldnt go anywhere. and there was a small puddle of clear oily fluid where my car was when it went out. so, i dont know if this is making any sense but i am totally confused and lost and i would like some help. thanks

Most likely Hydraulic fluid from your Clutch..If there is no Pressure in the pedal.Look into the Clutch Master, and check the Fluid.Look for Fluid leak at the Master, the HOSE and the Slave cylinder at the Transmission..Get someone to Step on the Clutch while you check. If it is leaking, then it Will Leak when you step on the Clutch pedal..(after Replacement of Fluid,Parts, whatever, you will have to bleed the clutch..Search.)

If your hydralics look fine (which I agree with misterstyx thats probably it) it could also be your pilot bearing.

It sounds as though you have two problems. If the starter is spinning and not engaging you probably have a bad solenoid. As for the other problem, if you put in all gears and had no drive, the clutch is gone. Hydraulic failure will make it difficult/impossible to disengage the clutch, not give you loss of drive.
