RX-7 GT-R 'Winning Ltd' ?
I have the chance to buy an FC GT-R 'Winning Limited" Edition. Its on an auction right now with my name on it, now I don't know what this edition is or what it stands for or if it some exotic version of the FC. Does anybody know anything about this 'edition'??

I hate single exhaust on a bumper designed for dual. No real info on that model here other than it is obviosly a J-spec I think GT-R = GXL though. Probably GXL SE. Instead of special they call it winning.

Yeah if I end up getting it I'm getting rid of the fart can exhaust and mismatched rims. besides that the car is clean. So your guess would be a GXL SE?

My friend in japan has test driven the car and says everything is perfect. the mismatched rims are an eyesore though.
EDIT: I don't think it can be a GXL cus its a s5 late 1991 car. GXL's were only s4 right? maybe im wrong.

It'll just be one of those "limited-edition" trim packs that manufacturers like to pump out on a regular basis to keep public interest up. It'll be mechanically identical to any other GT-R but it'll have a few extra interior goodies and maybe some extra stickers. Nothing worth paying extra money for anyway.

does it say that on the auction listing before you started bidding on it? ... perhaps its just the title towards you, your "winning the limited ltd". thats my guess. oh and i still absorutery love this car. but it does have diff size rims. i would change that.

This is an exact word for word quote of the auction report:
"1991 Mazda RX7 | RX-7 (GT-R "Winning Ltd") Details:
This is a special GT-R "Winning Ltd" model but we're unfamiliar with what this actualy means."
I wonder if it has leather...

GT-R is a Nissan thing isn't it?
I've seen GT-R Spev V Jetta's, Escort's, and Golf Carts. My guess is the previous owner deemed it GT-R "Winning Edition" himself and it really doesn't mean anything about what's on the car. Look up the VIN and that will tell the true story.

As mentioned, GT-R is not just a Nissan thing.
RX-7 GT-R
Skyline GT-R.
Integra Type-R
Civic Type-R
Pulsar GTi-R
..so forth.
R stands for "Race" IIRC, showing the car to be someting designed to be sporty and fast, with minal other distractions.
RX-7 GT-R is, IIRC is going to have the basic GTU equipment along with the J-Spec turbo engine. All RX-7s in japan are Turbo (incase you didn't know). If the car has been taken care off, 5,000CAD doesn't sound to bad, assuming that includeds shiping and all. Most of these auction off cars are the bottom of the barrel, (although better in most cases then our top-notch cars).
If your Canadian, check this site out.

Read up all the info, search the auctions, broker and private. It helps if you know some Japanese when it comes to the auctions and private, but deals can be had.
Personally, as much as I like the RX-7, I would find it hard to pass up a nice
Skyline GTS-t Type M (RB20DET, LSD, RWD)
Broker Price $2730 CAD
Shipped, taxes, service fees et al. = $5949 CAD ($5,375.49 USD)
