It may just be the moisture that is naturally present in the chambers (byproduct of combustion). However, the real way to test is to get the cooling system pressure tested. That will let you know if there is any coolant getting into the engine. You can buy the tester yourself for around $30, or have your friendly neighborhood rad shop do it for you.

This happened to my friend Scott, car got hard to start, plugs rusted/etc, turned out to be bad water seals that were leaking into the champer, ended up blowing the engine after about 10k miles later. Time to check the overflow tank for bubbles

That may not be the problem. A pressure test will tell you for sure. Go through the logical process of troubleshooting before jumping to conclusions.

I'm a pessimest, I always seem to mention the worst However, the best way to find out the issue is as Aaron stated, pressure testing the system. Though, bubbles in the coolant would also be a good indicator of an issue, if there are none, pressure test it, if that comes back good, don't worry too much

Yep, the bubble test is almost always a good indication...With the car cold, remove the coolant fill cap. Start the car, and watch the coolant for a steady stream of bubbles coming from somewhere in the engine. Now rev it up, and see if the bubbles increase or coolant gushes out. Lots of bubbles and/or gushing coolant are a sure sign something's wrong.
