IT RUNS!!! IT RUNS!!! kinda...

Ok, after hours of screwin with the injectors and stuff, it starts. Turns out some lines were crossed and they weren't getting fuel (stoopid, I know).

Now what it does is revs to about 4000, then it dies.
It will stay alive if I pump the throttle, but once I let go it dies.

One line that I know isn't hooked up is the one that runs to the cold start assist, which I removed, but I don't think that is causing anything.

The way it stays alive when I when I pump the throttle makes me think it isn't a vacuum leak, but something else.

Anyway, I appreciate any help.

^ bump

Still need some help.
Can I remove that thing on the inside of the intake manifold if I dont have cold start anymore? Could it be causing this problem?

let me bump it up

The cold start assist can be removed. Make sure you plug the vaccum line on the intake though. I don't think that s your problem though.

Before you fooled around with the injectors,
was it working fine ?? Or you foold around with injectors to try to fix the problem you are describing. Please more info.

Yeah, that totally sounds like a vacuum leak.

You can just leave the cold start injector on the manifold - it won't cause a vacuum leak or anything. The feed line going from the cold start reservoir to the injector isn't a vacuum leak or anything, either - you can leave that open with no ill effects.

What happened before was it wasn't getting any fuel to the rear housing. I switched some plugs around, then it fired up perfect. But it revs to 4 Grand and dies. I can keep it alive with the gas pedal though.

AreExSeven....is refering to the SUB ZERO START ASSIST SYSTEM . There was a factory bulletin to remove it from the cars....so remove yours. I just put a dab of JBWELD over the holes. Should be ready to go in a half hour after that.

As odd as it seems, I think you will indeed find there is a monstorous vacuum leak somewhere. It goes against logic, but I've seen the same symptoms on a car I left the boost line off and on the n/a I left off the half inch line that goes to duct that attaches between the afm and the throttle body. Had to keep the pedal down to keep the car running. I doubt one or more of the small vac lines will cause your problem. CONGRATULATIONS!

Well thank you!

Or, once I get it running anyway...

That seems logical that I have a huge leak, but I don't see where. One thing is I removed my ACV, and there was a bit of confusion there. I think I have it right.

But let me ask this. The boost pressure sensor used to run into the ACV. I pulled the acv, so I T'ed the line into the one that goes to the AFM. Will that work?

yes,
the boost pressure line is teed to the line that goes to the BOV on a TII. As long as you connect it to a vacuum nipple (that sees vacuum all the time), you should be fine.

check this thread below and many others. There is even a picture down the thread.
