I can't seem to find used converters for my 1988 none turbo RX7.....would you suggest I buy aftermarket converters?

Yes.....buy aftermarket. If you REALLY want stock cats, I could be able to get some from my local junkyard for you. They will be off an auto 88 N/A, if that matters.

You should be able to find the pre-cats used VERY easily - post up a wanted ad in the For Sale/Trade forum.

You want both non-turbo precats, if you want to know what to ask for.

Junkyards typically won't sell catalytic converters - it's against the law.

As far as aftermarket goes, you would have to get a high-flow cat setup. Cheap muffler shop cats don't cut it - I've seen MANY that were clogged and melted. You have to get something that can take the rotaries' heat.
