running really rich...go back stock FPR???

I put on a bigger bosch FPR on befor I got my 720's and Rtek 1.7 Im running really rich it kinda bogs in high RPM, My AFR gauge is well into the rich. how much do you think it would help if I went back to stock FPR???? I replaced spark plugs and O2 sensor what else could I check for running rich?
Thanks

Aftermarket FPR's are adjustable. You whole reason for buying one is so you can set the pressure to where you want it. If you're running rich because fuel pressure is too high, then lower it. Do not set it lower than the stock 36-37psi static.

Did you buy a rising rate regulator or an adjustible regulator?

Got a picture of it? Website? If it's not adjustable it's damn near useless...

That's adjustible mang...

Tighten for less fuel pressure, and loosen for more...

NO! That's a good way to kill your car!

No offence man, but it sounds like you've gone into this with way less knowledge than you need. You don't seem to know why you did this, whether you really need it, how to adjust it or what the effects will be. If you don't know, get a pro to do it or ask for advice before you do anything. This could save you a lot of time, money and hassle later.

You asbsolutely need a fuel pressure gauge with an adjustable FPR. If fuel pressure is set to high you'll run rich and if it's too low you'll run lean and risk popping your engine. It needs to be teed into the fuel line after the fuel filter. With the fuel pump check connector jumpered and the ignition off (engine not running) you should set it to the stock 36psi.

I didnt put it on, a pro did when I got my engine rebuilt to give it a little more fuel, I didnt have 720's yet that's why he put it on. Now ive put them on and it runs really rich. I thought if I took it off or adjusted it, it would not run so rich. I have a AFR gauge it runs 4 bars into rich. I figured I had some leeway...

He shouldn't have put it on. Any "pro" should know that's the wrong way to add fuel to an engine unless you've also got a fuel controller or standalone to tune the mixtures to suit the higher pressure. For now the best thing you can do is get that fuel pressure guage and adjust it to where it should be. With the injector/chip combo you have that should give you more or less stock mixtures.
