maybe its time to invest in a E-fan or something... Engine heat sucks either way

I wouldn't take any long trips till its running at the right temp.

Some of the things it could be are clogged up radiator, clogged up cats, bad thermostat, slipping clutch fan or Radiator caps that are not holding pressure. I'm sure the other people on this forum will be able to narrow it down better for you.

When my car was overheating it was because the exhaust was clogged. I replaced almost everything else before I figured out the problem

I had the exact same problem, it ran just a little bit over half way on the temp gauge. After I flushed the coolant system, shot the engine bay with some engine cleaner, and replaced the radiator cap with a Greddy performance cap, problem solved! Now my engine never runs over a 1/4 on the temp gauge.

Hope that solves your problem, heat sucks
