but now that you brought it up, i think just about everyone on this thread is using a stand alone.

If you want to make a statement to Ted, send him a PM. Anything you post in the forum can be read by anyone and they can and will make their own assumptions about it, hence Ted's clarification.

That would be nice, but you couldn't be more wrong. Stock ECU is far more common.
