to lock the timing. i dont think it would work since ecu controls the timing.

ill tell you how its possible. Its a euro rx7 which does not have a crank angle sensor and instead uses a distributer as a pick up for the timing ( this is similar to how a 1st gen GSL-SE fuel injection is setup) You cannot do this with an american ecu. it requires the CAS.

if your turboing a 2nd gen i would not recomend locking the timing anyway. IF anything id swap in a T2 ecu, injectors, airflow meter, and boost sensor. then at least you have a system capable of adjusting timing for boost compensation.
