Rumbling when i gas

Hi everyone,

I just bought an 88 Rx7 N/A, yesterday.

I bought it knowing it had some problems. The owner i got it from said that it needs a radiator, and a tranny mount.

I'm gonna get on the radiator before i start it up again, but as for the tranny mount im a lil confused.

When I was driving it back, I was going around 75-80mph, and when I let go of the gas, it would make no vibrations whatsoever, when I apply gas, it vibrates a lot. Is this a transmission problem or is this the tranny mount problem. The owner assured me that it was just the tranny mount and not a transmission problem.

Also, in the interior, surrounding the radio: it was ripped off. the owner said that it was broken into and they just cracked it off and took the radio. does anyone know where I can get a replacement? this is really the least of my worries right now, but i jus wanted to put that out there. Thanks.

yes, it could be the tranny moving around. it also could be bad U-joints on the drive shaft. i had a bad drive shaft and it was alway vibrating while i let on and off the gas.

look for their FC tranny mounts.

You also might as well go ahead and upgrade the motor mounts also while you are down there. You'll love em.

i honestly couldnt tell you. just get under your car and look around. look around really good. the first symptoms of my case happened that day, and it snapped 20 minutes later. so its hard to tell. just take it easy is my .02 cents.
