I was running this chip when I first got my rx running again. Stock turbo and WG with full 3" exhaust makes for some hella Boost Creep, and I think the timing retard (-1 deg per psi above 9psi) helped save my engine from shooting apex seals...
It will allow you to squeeze a little more out of an almost stock setup running higher boost (less than 11psi on a stocker) don't quote me on this though...
Also, you can now upgrade to the 2.1 for less, later on.
Good luck! FYI, There is an RTEK forum under the ECU section... Check it out.

Are you sure your hitting fuel cut? You should almost kiss the steering wheel when it happens.

Pocketlogger soldered it in. I emailed them and they assured me its not fuel cust as they totally remove that possibility with the new chip. They said it may be a problem with the coil, or a boost leak. Ill have to investigate more tomorrow. I just bought the car 2 weeks ago and I thought it was hitting fuel cut because as soon as the car hit maximum boost (3/4 on the stock gauge) it would fall flat on its face. It seems to do it worse the harder i am on the throttle, or if i try to get sideways. I am awaiting an aftermarket boost gauge to see whats going on with it. This is my first turbo rx7 so im somewhat of a noob...i feel 16 again haha. I really don't wanna blow her up. Once again, id like to thank all of you for your advice. Anthony

thanks again guys. I am going to work on the car now. It does not seem to fall on its face at 3800 so im guessing the secondary injectors are ok. It falls on its face as soon as it hits maximum boost. I am going to check fuel pressure in a few minutes. The converters are still on (for the moment). I was thinking they may be blocked too...too much to check haha. I'll keep you guys updated on what i find. thanks. Anthony

nope. this is by far the easiest fuel pump ive ever encountered. remove the rear carpet and insulation. remove the 4 screws covering the fuel pump. disconnect the 2 fuel lines. remove the 8 phillips screws holding the fuel pump. then carefully pull the whole assembly out. i left my wiring still connected. my strainer had a thick layer of gel/paste-like goo on it. idk what it was from but i looked down in the tank with a flashlight and it looked fine. i just wiped the goo of with a few paper towels. good luck with it. hope it fixes your problem!
