RPM's drop when clutch is depressed?????
It seems that after the car has been running for around ten minutes, till she's harmed up a little, the rpm's drop when the clutch is depressed... it will go from 1100 to 800, which isn't to bad... but sometimes it drops as low as 500, but strugling to get back up, making it to about 700, but going up and down between 500 and 700.. Well today I decided to take the clutch release cylinder off well car was turned on, and press clutch in, she still did it.. so as far as im concerned, that eliminated anything to do with the tranny...
Does anyone know what would be causing this??? maybe i need a new clutch release cylinder...
Also, that rod coming outta the cylinder came out a little, along with some sort of seal.. inside was filled with fluid, and of course a little poored out.. and after i put cylinder back on, it took me like a minute worth of pumping to get the clutch stiff again.... i dunno if thats ok.. but i will be bleeding clutch shortly to be safe... she does drive fine though, after doing that,...

When you step on the clutch, the throwout (or release) bearing is carrying the load of holding the spinning pressure plate back. Any extra friction in the T/O bearing will pull down idle, but if there is a problem, you should be able to hear it.
Almost half the stuff on top of the engine is to hold idle speed. I'm thinking your BAC may not be working right.

oh, i deffinately hear it, the noise of the car strugling, the car shakes somethimes to, when it gets low enough, it dont think it could be the Throwout bearing, as it is a new bearing, and i pressed clutch in while the clutch release cylinder was removed (while car was still on), so that would eliminate anything related to tranny..., only thing i that is not new is pilot bearing, cuz i did not have tool to take old one out..

The neutral safety switch is a two wire sensor/switch mounted on the transmission. But there is a clutch engagement switch that is mounted to the clutch bracket under the dash that tells the computer that the clutch is depressed so you can start the car.
