rpm stuck at 4k

i have a 87 turbo2 that i just put a engine in and the rpms kinda get stuck at 4k but it will go up a little more but it takes a while and it only does it when you are driving it revs ok when you are just sitting there but it does not sound right when you are revving past 4k

secondary injectors probably aren't pluged in. or one of them.

sounds to me like the 3800rpm hesitation.

Can you rev above 3800 in neutral with very light throttle?

you can rev above 3800 in neutral but it only does not want to go past that when you are driving it goes a little more than that but it is hard after 3800 and kinda make some pop sounds after 3800

No, what we are thinking is more along the lines of a bad secondary injector/signal. At 3800, the ECU cuts the duty cycle of the primaries, and brings the secondaries online. It sounds to me that there is a problem with your secondaries, and/or timing.

i changed the secondary injectors with some other ones and still was messing up so can it be the signal what would not let it make a signal at 3800 for them to work when i try to set the timing it messes up more when i set it almost right it make more pop sounds so i advacned it a little and does not pop that much any more

i found a intake leak and would that make it not run right after 3800rpm or is it something else

its definately the 3,800 rpm hesitation. That is the only explanation for this that I can think of. Your secondaries are not firing. Just search for 3800 rpm hesitation and read up. Its been diagnosed and fixed literally hundreds of times.

i fixed the intake leak and it runs much better but it still cuts out a little at 3500 but this time you can go last time it would get stuck and not want to go any more after 3500

i was messing with the tps and i could not set it and one time i had the car on and was able to make one light come but i had to turn the screw almost all the way down and when it came on the car would not run right so i turned it back when i reved it and the light came on is when it started to mess up and that was around 3500rpm and i changed the tps with another one and still did the same thing

i got the tps to set right and it is still doing the same thing and i think it is running to rich when the secondaries kick in because one time i left the hose clamp lose on the intake so the interclooer pipe was getting air and that time it would run good in the high rpms but i would not idle because that was to bid of a vacuum leak or can i be hitting fuel cut
