Question RPM Problems!!!

Hey guys. I have a RPM problem and I was hoping you could help me out.

When the gas is on the floor the RPM goes up to 3800, it will not go passed that. I have to depress the gas about 1/4 - 1/2 to get it to go passt the 3800-4000 mark. After that I can push a little harder (not all the way) and get it to the red-line and beyond. It only does this in 2nd-5th gear, and occasionally in 1st. Can anyone tell me what the hell is going on? I miss using 149 HP all the way to 8000 RPM. Thanx.

Mike

P.S.- If you guy could emial me back with a response that would be better. My email is RaceJ30@aol.com. Please title it RPM PROBLEMS. THANX.

your secondary injectors are not working correctly. first try putting in some fuel injector cleaner, if that doesn't work then pull them and have them balanced and blueprinted at napa.

Check your pressure/boost sensor (yes, you have one). If it's bad the secondaries won't come on. Pop the vacuum hose off of the sensor, and plug it so you don't have a vaccum leak to the engine.
Then take it for a quick drive- see if anything changes.

Could be a grounding prob with the secondaries too... could be lots of reasons, but your secondaries are definately not coming online, just have to find out why. Could be electrical(probably) or mechanical.

Oh- can you rev it in neutral to redline?
