RPM Gauge Dead & Weird Noise

So I just changed the alt/ fan belt and everything was fine prior to this. But now my RPM gauge doesnt function ( every other gauge is completely functional ) and a strange 2-tone beep goes off only when Im stepping on the gas. When im at a complete stop, the beeping goes away, what can this be ?

Check all battery and alternator connections. Especially the alternator connections, and make sure the alternator is in fact, good.

fixed...
check any and all wires/connections near where you were working.

the 2-tone beep signal sounds like your speed sensor is off; which is generally caused by missing or broken wiring.
+1 to check your connections, also your fuses since it's electrical and all of it must function.
