RP Catback...

Does anyone have this on their FC? If so, what do you think of it over stock as far as sound and durability?

I have the Bonez Superflo and am considering this as my next upgrade along with a K&N intake.

Any opinions are appreciated.

Jim

I don't personally have this on my car, but a friend has in his '88 n/a. The sound is deeper on the throttle. Idle is slightly deeeper, but much quiter than the other cat-backs (Apex, Greddy, etc). Power gain is small (probably less than 5 hp w/ just c-b on stock engine). The look is stock. Jay

i have this catback on my 88T2, it is pretty nice. the sound is louder than stock, but i also have straight pipe all the way back from the turbo, so that could be a reason why. it is deeper, and at WOT, it is pretty damn loud. for the money, i would recomend it, especially for an N/A. i am in the process of trying to trade catbacks with my friend, so i can have bigger piping on the catback for more flow for the turbo.

all in all, i like the unit

i also have it on my T2...the 50mm one...the previous owner put this one. not sure why...i think 50mm might even be smaller than stock!

anyway, on my car i have DP, MP, no cats, and then the RP catback. its pretty loud...very nice tone...more raspy than my n/a...one the n/a i have high flow cat and N1 catback but this is deeper than the T2...

Hope it's nice. It's what I'm planning on getting in a couple weeks.

I have it. I would reccomend painting it with some high temp paint. Mine rusted in a lil over a year. The tips are stainless so they don't rust but the piping will rust, and so will the mufflers. I wish I would of painted them before I put em on.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm gonna do what Samps suggested and do the painting first. Can't hurt and not that difficult.
