RP catback

Hi,
does anyone have the RP catback from rx7.com?
If so, how is the sound from it?
Is it loud or pretty quiet?

Does it give you any problems from the cops?

Thanks!

Ive heard it. Sounded pretty bad. My friend had it on his 10AE. I hated it. Sounded raspy and just all around crappy past anything but idle.

A friend of mine has one on his stock-ported NA 13B, and it sounds just fine. It is somewhat louder than stock, but definitely not a noise problem for the police, and it has a pretty good tone. It's not the same quality as some of the high-end exhaust systems, but it makes good power and is a good exhaust if you don't want to spend a lot of money.

it looks about the same thing as my corksport catback. mine sounds amazing. but its not because of the catback, its because of the racing beat 3' presilencer. it makes a BIG difference.

it's ok, it's better than stock, but yeah i had it on my t2, it was pretty raspy at high rpm's , very cool idle though. As far as performance...50mm...not that great.

Borla exhaust

If you want a good quality catback all stainless steel, nice sound, buy the borla. it is about the same price as the RP and will last 20 times longer.

The CS sounds great with some type of presilencer on it.

I had a straight through midpipe to a cat and then the CS and it had a rasp to it.

I got the bopnez superflo and it changed the tone to a deep and nice growl. No rasp at all.

I plan to go with a CS downpipe and silencer midpipe for my TII conversion. I hope it is a deep as the old set up.

It is loud though. I could hear my car idling from inside my house.
