um oh ****.

Your *best* bet would be to take it to a shop and have them split it. If you have a cut-off wheel you can cut the stud from behind and then bang it through... though i wouldnt do that unless you really F'ed it all up.

probably a couple bux. Maybe $10-20?

They charged me $5 to get lock lugs off my car since the previous owner forgot to give them to me.

Take an impact socket that is slightly smaller then the nut and hammer it on. Use a breaker bar with a pipe attached to loosen. Can't use a regular socket because you'll split it.

could get a propane or oxy/acetylene torch in it to heat it up & then try with the vise grips again...just don't heat it up too long, or the stud will heat up too...

Try this. This worked on getting the security lug nuts off when I lost the key lug.

Go get that socket that has all those pins in it. It MIGHT work but not sure. It should be like 10 bucks for the socket.

Find a Sears Craftsman *12-point* socket that is slightly smaller than the lug nut.  Pound on it till it digs in - torque off.  If you break the socket, get another one for free from Sears.

Use lots of penetrant - if that doesn't work, torch the lug nut.

Years ago I used a small disc grinder to reface the nut flats to the next size down & used a 6 point socket to grab it.

I like the JBweld idea.

Most tire shops have special sockets that are designed for just these purposes. I'd just go to a tire shop and let them go to town.

Go to sears and buy one of these bastards:

You can buy the set for $20, or one at a time. Just be sure you know what size the lug nut is before you go. These work well, and are worth having in your tool box.

I got the set that has 10 sockets in it. It was close to $50 for the set...but Ohh God was it worth it. I have used those suckers to get out so many rusted and rounded off bolts I cant even count.

That kit rules!!

hey guys!!! im having the same problem.. some how my lock for the bbs vert rims snapped on me.. well to the point where i can not use the key anymore. and i tighten the dAng thing pretty good too.. i tried that lug nut remover from sears, but i guess the biggest one from the set/kit was a bit small.?? so i needed a larger one.. a 16 or 17 i think was the right size that i needed.. but its for the bbs lock nut. and not the normal lug nut.. so i don't know.. plus brakes pads are out!!! might take it to the shop.. or get a new size..hUumm..?!?!?!
