rough idle under 1k rpms
if my idle is right at 1000rpms, the idle is quite smooth. if the rpms drop below 1000 (when the ecu goes to base timing) it gets quite rough. i raised the idle up a bit with the fast idle screw, but it still isnt very smooth unless its above 1000rpms... anyone have any experience with this?
can i bump up the base timing (like under 1k rpms) without affecting the timing in the whole rpm range?

Vac leaks, misadjusted TPS, dirty/faulty BAC, etc. I'm fighting the same problem right now, I actually had to create a vac leak to get my car to idle below 1K rpm, go figure.

I must work well with your agressive injectors.

That project will be finished next week.
Jacob- you got a rebuild in her, man...Put 1000 miles on her, then get back to us. My idle didn't get perfectly smooth at 750 for a while, and that was with the new housings, so just have a little patience (of course, it couldn't hurt to check for vac leaks & the like)
At least you got her running and you're not getting on here anymore & telling us how much you hate life & can't stand rx-7's, lol...

sounds like a vac leak, my car did the same thing, but i guess my aftermarket BOV had to be on stiff, or it would vac leak. and when it boost it wasnt giving enough air so the air to fuel was off. but i fixed that last night and now she's boosting happily. can u beleive that **** sonicrat.
oh yeah, and when i did that i musta made my car happy, cuz now the horn works. love rx7s so everything seems to work, minus im now hitting fuel cut.
but ill fix it eventually. good luck

i've got 1250 miles on her and about 110psi of compression. better than 55psi
landers got me all fixed up. i think the problem may be my TPS cause it hesitates at part throttle in boost but is fine at full throttle, and sometimes just random hesitations. i may have also created a small vac leak when installing my new radiator yesterday so i'll go check those things here when i get my break
