Rough idle, missing at certain RPM's

Ok so the TII is slowly coming together, but I'm having a few problems smoothing the engine out at idle. I adjusted the TPS and it smoothed out a bit. Adjusted the variable resistor and it is smoother if you set it all the way to the rich side. Any less than that and the engine dies. Even at that though, it still tries to die then seems to come back to life at the last moment. Tried adjusting the BAC screw and it had absolutely no effect. I suspect this may be my problem. Any thoughts on this?

Also one other problem is that it rev's beautifully, but and the needle's way up to 7000 RPM while sitting in neutral, I get what sounds like a few misses every so often. If I hold it at a higher (above 3500) RPM, it misses every few seconds as well. Any ideas?

I've never had a car that DIDN'T miss every once in a while when holding the revs up in neutral....

Every few seconds I don't view as a problem.. every couple tenths of a second.. thats a problem!!!!!!!

As far as the seeming to die then catching itself... I would think the car is sucking air in the vaccume system somwhere...

My BAC screw never did a damn thing either.

Thanks YOD! My 87 N/A can be held at almost any RPM and it purs like a kitten without a single miss. I don't think its too much of a problem on the TII though, as the car pulls like hell and doesn't stutter during acceleration. One other thing though...when the car seems to almost die then catch itself, I hear a faint click in the engine bay. Is this the BAC?

yes it is.The bac may have an internal leak on one the seals, or it just could be going bye bye.You can take it out and clean it out to see if that will help any.you can use a good carb cleaner.
