AZ rotor housings

Ok I'm new to the turbo 13b.
I just got my first complete s4 t2 and I broke the motor down due to it not having compression in the rear rotor.
I discovered that the previous owner blew all three apex seals in the rear rotor.
One chunk made its way out and scored the crap out of the housing and stamped a nice ding in the rotor itself.

My question is can I use my mint s4 na housing in place of the turbo 2 housing once I swap the exhaust baffle onto the na ?

And Wht would cause all three apex seals to break right at the corner seal?

My guess is to lean, or that the motor wasn't broke in properly, because it was a reman motor that looked like it wasnt fully broke in yet.

You can if you don't need to pass emissions.

You'll need to drill out the coolant passage to match the original housing. Or swap front/rear housing because I believe only one of those passages are used (can't remember if it's front or back, I must be getting old).

the rear housing needs the coolant passage. so if you put the rear housing in the front, please drill the air injection passage so it could pass emissions if it needed to. the emissions passage comes down the center iron and goes into the exhaust ports, and the difference between the F and R housing is that mazda only drilled one side. its easy to drill the other side, it takes 5 minutes.

if the emissions passage is blocked it will NEVER EVER pass smog. trust me i live in California, i've smogged 3-4 Rx7's a year since 1993.

Drill and tap the rear iron coolant outlet on top the housing. Install a npt to nipple fitting. Run a hose from the fitting to the turbo coolant feed hard line. Bypasses the LIM. No need to drill the housing. For smog, get a fuel controller and lean out the fuel when it's test time.

this does not work well enough to pass in most places.

How many different emissions tests are there for FC's? Idle test and the roller? It works for MD's idle requirements Throw some denatured alcohol in the tank.
