rotor housing differences
what are the differences between the rotor housings of a TII and NA? i mean the port locations and the rest... the only thing i know is the 6-port config on the NAs (think i remember reading about 4-port config on the NAs)

A rotor housing is not a side housing or intermediate housing. There is a difference b/t the two(rotor housings) and it lies in the exaust port. N/A's have a *diffuser* and the Turbo's don't(I'm pretty sure about that).

Here are pics of the exhaust ports.
The last pic shows the water passage. It lets water into the intake manifold. This hole needs to be plugged if you are using the turbo housings on a N/A engine.

so besides the diffuser in the exhaust port (on the side housing? intermediate housing is between two rotors right?), port location and the rest are pretty much the same?

yeah its the same. The exhaust ports are in the side housings. The intake ports are in the front, center and rear plates. On a 6 port, the front and rear have 2 ports each, while the center has 2, one on each side, one for each rotor. The 4 port has one on the front, one on the rear, and 2 on the center, one on each, one for each rotor.

It can be drilled out. Its heat treated steel, so you would need a carbide bit and a cold chisel, but it can be done. The entire insert can be removed if you drill out the pins on each side that hold it in. This isn't recommended cause the steel is ment to keep heat away from the aluminum.

There is a guy in the first gen section working on a 3 or 4 rotor motor. He is going to try to break the land speed record at Bonneville.
