Rotary n00b

Hello all! I've been lurking through the site for the last hour or so. I drive a 93 accord now, but I'm looking to get a FC within the next couple of months.
I decided to join so I can learn about these fine machines. Would this FC happen to belong to someone on this forum?

If so whats the info on? Year, model, and so on..
What I'm looking for in mine is... I don't want a convertible, I would like turbo... That being said, give me some info people!!! I need to learn!!

That is one sweet *** s5. That is a GTX. If it is REALLY a GTX then it is from or still in Japan. 89-91 model. none of the U.S. models were called GTX.

Stay here and learn, you will be addicted to the FC (second gen 7) the first time you drive one. got my first rotary at 19, and I will always have at LEAST one from now on.

WELCOME!

13b- thank you for the warm welcome! it may sound odd, but I've been taking my notes. I'm 21, and I'll admit, I have much to learn. Although I won't be able to add much to the forum just yet, I hope to learn and watch my knowledge of these fine cars grow! Thanks again!

99% of everything I know about my car I have learned from this site in the past 9 months. Stick around and absorb the info.

That's OPEC's car. It's a 89-91 Turbo II, that he placed J-Spec decals on. If you search for his profile (click on Search in the upper-left corner) you'll see that his website has many great pics of that beautiful car.

You know whats funny...

My car looked JUST like that when I got it. Same spoiler, same lip, etc. Everything but the wheels. Well I bought my car from a guy here in California, who got it from his brother in FL who I guess died somewhat recently when I got it. Well I came on the forum, and while searching through old posts, I found a pic of that car and the loocation of OPEC was in florida. For the longest time I thought that OPEC was the guy who owned my car before me. But then I saw him post again and I knew he wasn't dead

But I guess I should take this time to ask, my car seems to be influenced from OPEC's, do any of you florida rotary guys know about the history of it? (dcfc3s, OPEC, etc). The guy did some mods to the car, so I know he had some knowledge, which makes me think he may have been in a car club. He had straight exhaust, FCD, and racing beat Boost Controller. The car is a white 89 TII.
