I have coolant driping from the water pump . Is it ok to use gasket maker for this part or do i have to go out and get the factory one?

It's possible that it is a gasket problem.But try to loate exactly where it is dripping from.Waterpumps have spitters in the shaft.They are wear indicators.If water is coming out of this hole then yoy need a new waterpump,if it's the gasket I think you'd be better off putting a new gasket on.Save yourself the headache.
