???? for the rotary gurus (gods)
I have coolant driping from the water pump . Is it ok to use gasket maker for this part or do i have to go out and get the factory one?
the car runs great does not over heat at all. is is posible that its just a gasket problem?? my car is a 91 gxl:confused: |
Where's it leak from? There's so many places on the pump where it could leak, that we need a little more precise info.

It's possible that it is a gasket problem. But try to loate exactly where it is dripping from.Waterpumps have spitters in the shaft. They are wear indicators. If water is coming out of this hole then yoy need a new waterpump,if it's the gasket I think you'd be better off putting a new gasket on.Save yourself the headache.

Exactly what I was implying. :) RTV will hold up, but we always suggest the gasket :)

the water pump still hooked up to the car right now .
i was just wondering what all i needed to get before i tear it all up. |
