roof spoiler installation

I bought a roof spoiler from shine auto a loooooooooong time ago.
It took me around 6 months to have it painted by a friend.
And now (somewhere around one year later) i'm thinking it would be nice to put it on the FC (maybe because i'm attending one of the biggest carshow in europe in 3 weeks lol).

But i don't know how to install it. the guys from shine auto told me to simply use 3M tape but it feels really weak.

I was more considering using windshield glue and sealing the edges with black sillicone (my car is black) or maybe aircraft sealing as it should be rather easy to get for me.

I'd like to avoid drilling through the rear window surrounding to rivet or bolt the wing.
somebody has any feedback on this kind of installation ?

When I took mine off to paint the car it took a hot blade to cut it from the roof. It was held on with some kind of tape and I bet it was 3M. Put it back on the car with 3m tape and it's been there for the last 5 years in the Florida sun.

3M tape is some serious double sided tape. I use it at work all the time. The kind I use at work is $70 a roll.

The magic behind it is letting it cure in the sun for a bit.

Use "The Right Stuff" and you would have to Jack hammer that part off!

this one only says 10lbs... My spoiler is not that heavy but i expect to generate positive pressure on it that i suppose might exceed this. Is it the best i can buy or there is better tape on sell ?

additional question that i forgot to ask, How did you maintain the spoiler during the time needed for the tape to cure ?

It is meant for outside on Concrete,so if you adhere it to a flat smooth surface it is just fine.I need a friggin putty knife to lift my pod off!
There are Other tapes..google it like I did.

I'm just asking cause my gauge pods are also taped to my dashboard using the provided 3M tape and it's also really strong. I'm just very scared of losing the spoiler one the highway at the first spirited drive... I've absolutely no knowledge of glue/tape. At work we only use glue to fix composite element together, otherwise it's almost forbidden and only riveted assembly are allowed...

but i really like the idea of solving my issue with a less than 10$ tape roll

That 3m tape is serious stuff, believe it or not it is how they set glass into the frames in skyscrapers.

This is what I use at work. It's not cheap, but you could mount a bumper with it.
