Im just hoping my friends second set of injectors accually come. Im going to feel really bad if i recomened him to your site and he never gets his 550cc injectors so he can put his car back together.

Im not saying hes not going to get the injectors, just that its taking forever. You guys should REALLY look into use FedEx. About 1 year ago USPS has become totally worthless for buisness use. I know. Their 'tracking numbers' now are worthless, they charge too much, and they are just generally slow. USPS 2-3 day means 'Maybe in 2-3 weeks' now... Anyone in the tech industry (ie where stuff becomes worthless if it takes longer than a few days to ship) use ONLY FedEx. They won't even bother with UPS, yet alone USPS.

I wouldnt jump to blaming Rising Star yet, as USPS just totally sucks donkey *****.
Speaking of USPS i have to drive 10 miles to the postal office to pick up my 3 ounce, 5"x2" package with my 3.0 BitChar motor becuase they where too lazy to knock on the damn door when it wouldn't fit in the POS neighborhood mailbox.

Get over it! You got your money back DAYS ago. You would spring more for faster shipping? You didnt want to pay the ASKING price to begin with! Could it be possible that the package was LOST by the Post Office?! When you received your refund DAYS ago you should have spent your time looking for a replacement instead of wasting your time posting here, crying about your time crunch. That would have been the SMART thing to do.

Yeah... It's probably lost in the mail. It would be the first time I have ever had anything lost in the mail, but I guess it's possible?
I'm not crying about it, just warning others of the shitty service I received!
I have been looking for a replacemnet and think I have found one.
I think your wife and I both learned a valuable lesson here.
Maybe you should get over it!
I'm not done yet!

Save your self the headache
and use UPS
open a online merchant account(instant tracking numbers from your computer)
you save big over reguler walk in customers.

USPS has really really bad service
SO BAD they was forced into using fedex for some shipments.

Hey Dont get down
by this experiance

You did the honest thing and refunded a unhappy customer. A thing any reputable buisness should do.

You haggled a discount on a discounted part, it got lost in the mail (your first time? you'd be the lucky one), you got your money back and now your claiming shitty service? Sounds like you're crying to me. Jeez, I'd hate to be selling you anything.

Coming from New Zealand I'm sure you are familiar with USPS?
As far as haggling goes, I'm not the greatest shopper in the world. I asked her if she would accept $200 and she said yes. That was the extent of the "haggling"
I have delt with several people and spent thousands of dollars on my car via the internet. This is my first bad experience.
I'm not going to try to defend myself any longer because I didn't do anything wrong!
People can read this thread and make their own determinations.

Damn right I am! I think the rotary community should be aware of people like this. Don't you?

BTW... She never sent my part! She was stringing me along the whole time.

The thing that really pisses me off is, she was trying to gain sympathy from dumb ***** who can't tell right from wrong!
Also the fact that it set me back 3 weeks on my project pissed me off.

I am honest with people I deal with. I expect the same in return. If you **** me over, I will get you in the end!

MikeL sent me this thread asking me what I knew about this.
To let readers know, I have supplied the shiftboots for Douglas' business and am happy to have a working relationship with him. I have also bought parts from him for my 88 vert and have never had a problem with any of aspect of the transaction.

I run my own leather boot/ebrake boot business and I'm not in Poland just to clarify. Customer service is a touchy thing. Sometimes it is hit or miss. Ted made some very good points back in February and I agree wholeheartedly and try to live up to the principles Ted has mentioned!

Bottom line: If the buyer got his money back, carry on and move out smartly. That is a lot better result than some of the horror stories others have posted.

SH*t! 3 weeks? Try 9 weeks! At least you got your money back rxtasy, My $770 is no where to be found, no communication, no website, no nothing.
I guess since I didn't get my money back or a response to 10+emails in a month, I'm entitled to bitch.
It's sad how some people need to lie and cheat, in order, to make a living. I agree absolutely, others need to be made aware of these people.
The only thing I have to be happy about is it wasn't more of my money.

Maybe if I just talk enough ****, I'll get some kind of reply.

turbo GXL - what shop are you referring to?

For the record, from a Canadian view point:

USPS = reliable and inexpensive, albeit somewhat slow.

UPS = crappy. They overcharge, REALLY overcharge "brokerage fees" to cross the border. Basically if you ship anything over the border, add anywhere from 30-60% of the cost of the item back on top for "brokerage fees". Then you are lucky if it isn't lost or damaged. I waited over 3 months to have some items finally shipped (by which point I had moved).

FedEX = pay the extra money and use them. I haven't heard of any complaints except the price which is usually more than UPS at least international (ie. to Canada) shipping.

As for these shops not sending parts, no returning calls or something... I agree - if you get the part on time, thats great but if you got yor money back at least that's not too shabby.

I don't understand in the case of (judge judy anyone?) RXTASY1 vs Rising Sun... Susan refunded you which you agree with 2 weeks AFTER she shipped the part. Why would she give you the part for free if it was lost in the mail? That's a strange situation.

Demonspeed.com - what is the deal with the splitters? Are they being shipped out or not? I've heard more than one person say they are still waiting and not 100% happy with customer service. I'd like to hear from you what the deal is. Is there a known delay in shipping? I'd like to order one of these parts in the next month or two but I want to hear from you if all is ok.

Lastly I agree with the "this is a public forum". As an RX-7 owner and internet shopper/buyer, I find a LOT of value in knowing if and why there is trouble between a customer and a shop. The shop has an opportunity to explain the situation and straighten out everyone. I also agree if there is a problem the buyer should deal it out with the shop first and give them ample time to fix the situation.

I applaud everyone on this thread for keeping their cool and having a civil discussion on a topic just prime for gettin mean.

cheers,
Blake

I dont know what you guys are complaining about. I love USPS. Priority service is great.

As for parts, I bought some window switch from this *** on the list. He claimed he sent me the part, but its been 2 weeks almost. Still no sign of it. I already send in a note on paypal requesting my money back. Just want to ask you guys if u know how long it takes to get teh $ back from paypal?

TurboGXL, I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Hopefully, Demonspeed is honest and eventually will send you what you ordered or refund your money.
Maybe he is having a VERY difficult time right now.

Hang in there! That's all you can do!

I'm referring to both Rising Sun Used Parts and Demonspeed. They are really both one in the same. Basically owned by two people, who are married.

As far as, them having a VERY hard time right now. I think 9 weeks has been more than adequate time to address my order. I really didn't start complaining until about two weeks ago. The fact I can't get in touch with anyone is what peeves me.

LOL, ya know the funniest part of this to me is....all this time I've been waiting, I've damn near fabricated half the parts myself or made existing parts useful through modifying them. The only reason I ordered the parts in the first place was because I thought it would be faster.

So, what's the valuable lesson we've learned?

Don't buy parts you really don't need for $770, when you coulda just made'em yourself in the first place for free, because you'll probably just end up having to do it yourself anyways. Plus it takes less time, than the parts to get shipped, and you won't be out the $770.

Wait!! Here's a great idea... I'll just sell the parts I made to someone else, then I'll take the money and order some more parts from PAS, ..... NO wait even better, I'll just throw money out the window while I'm on the freeway!!

Speaking of shipping, know what's fuked up. I have a GXL, with bad brakes. My brakes are doing metal to metal in the front. I ordered new brake parts a week ago. Suppose to be here 3 days ago. Fedex gave me a call today and tell me they cant locate it. Now i am riding with virtually no brakes unless i use the metal to stop
