Rise in temperature

Ive noticed in the last few days that my FC's temp gauge has gone from the lower half of the dial to the middle of the dial. Doesnt go any higher than that. Is there something thats about to break on it? I know that this hasnt been normal. I replaced the thermostat about 4 months ago and it was a little higher than normal but not as high as it is now. The fan is working fine.......any ideas?

The normal temp operation on an s4 anyway is about 1/4 way up the guage and if you have the a/c on then 1/2 is normal. But if it goes any higher than that you need to look into possible culprits. Ive got an 88 convertible down here in texas and today it was 100 out and i had the a/c on full blast and it stayed at 1/2 and thats what its supposed to do. I asked the question of what the guage is supposed to read once on here before and everyone told me 1/4 and all making me worry but the vast majority of people here dont use their a/c they rip it out

Now if this is an s5 and ur guage is doing this then forget all of what i just said and quite driving the car until you figure out whats up. The s4 86-88 guage is alot more accurate than the s5 89-91 guage.
