Ripped out interior, now car wont start

Well guys, I stripped my entire interior this weekend and hammered out the sound deadening. Upon replacing everything today, I found out that the car wont start. It just clicks. The clock goes dim and the antenna retracts also. It won't even crank.

This has actually happened to me before, and it was attributed to some short in the dealer alarm system. I did leave off a small ground wire that I believe is from the system. However, even after i taped it to the chassis (I couldnt find the bolt) the car still wont start. Any thoughts?

sounds just like a dead battery...... have you jump started it yet? maybe you left the doors open too long... happened to me before.. try jump starting it, if that doesnt work, replace the battery, if that doesnt work, then worry!

As Vipers said, check your battery voltage. If your headlights work fine in the ACC position, check for voltage after the battery terminals while trying to start the car. My guess is the battery terminals aren't making a good connection.

Very probably esp if you have courtesy lights (the little lights on the door near your feet that turn on when the doors are open) and were working long hours on the interior with the doors open and not driving it.

the car had an aftermarket alarm which was bypassed, the butt connector between the ignition switch to the factory harness had come loose.

cars already fixed so don't worry about trying to guess what the problem is.

start by testing the starter circuit all the way from the ignition switch, if it is getting power trace the power down the circuit to the connector and then to the starter cut relay in the engine bay. also be sure the clutch switch is plugged in.

Hook up jumper cables, and try to start. Like other have said, your battery is prob dead. If that fails pull the fuse for your injectors, you probably are flooded.
